About Erica

Dr. Erica Arcuri

Erica completed her medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. Prior to studying Naturopathic Medicine, she completed an honours degree in Psychology minoring in Biology and Chemistry at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Erica's strong scientific background and free-spirited nature serve as an excellent foundation for a focus on naturopathic evidence-based patient care.  She has honed her skills while completing year-long internships at both the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and the Brampton Naturopathic Teaching Clinic at the William Osler Hospital. Erica also had the privilege of completing a satellite rotation at the Queen West Community Health Centre - a nonprofit health and wellness service organization - where she worked with individuals and communities who are at risk and/or face barriers to accessing high quality health care services.

Erica strives to know her patients on a personal and individual level. Her goal is to help patients avoid extreme treatments and find their own balance in a healthy lifestyle. She is an advocate for the power of movement (whether it be walking, running, hiking, biking, or dancing!), healthy eating, and a healthy mind-body connection. As one piece of each patient's health team, Erica hopes to create a non-judgemental environment where patients can feel empowered to restore their health naturally!

Erica has a particular interest in hormonal imbalances, skin health, digestive concerns and weight loss. She has been trained in botanical medicine, nutritional therapies, Traditional Chinese Medicine (including acupuncture) and lifestyle counselling. She is an active member, in good standing, with the College of Naturopaths Ontario (CONO). She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).

Complimentary Meet & Greet

If you would like to find out more about naturopathic medicine and how it can help you, book a complimentary 15 minute consult.

Initial Appointment

Initial visits are 60 minutes and consist of a thorough assessment of your chief health concerns and medical history, as well as a screening physical exam. We discuss your risk factors, family history and various lifestyle habits to get a full picture of your health status. In this visit, Ialso help determine if there is a need for further diagnostic testing. We review your goals and decide collaboratively what the focus of treatment will be. A basic treatment plan is typically initiated in the first visit.

Second Appointment

The second appointment is 60 minutes and usually 1 to 2 weeks after the first visit. Further information may be gathered and additional examinations performed. This appointment also includes a review of blood work and laboratory tests. In this visit, we expand on the treatment plan with more detail and a schedule for subsequent appointments is discussed.

Follow-Up Appointments

The frequency and duration of follow up visits varies according to the individual patient and specific treatment plan. Follow-up appointments are meant to monitor progress and modify plans as necessary. Seasonal and annual visits are also encouraged to help prevent disease, refresh health goals and keep patients motivated on their path to better health.
